"To Teach Who Christ Is" Campaign Minimize

Last October the Archdiocese of Chicago launched the "To Teach Who Christ Is" Capital Campaign. Transfiguration Parish is participating in that campaign and our goal is to reach $1,015,000 over a 3 year pledge period. 60% of all monies collected will be for use in our parish.  A survey taken at that time gave a number of areas to target for the use of those funds:  Church building improvements; Youth and Young Adult Ministry development and Community Outreach.  We have already received and used some of the funds for a new telephone system.  The funds that remain with the Archdiocese will be used for education in all areas: Schools, Religious Education, RCIA, Children's Liturgy of the Word, Youth programs and adult formation.  As of the end of February, 2014, we have recieved pledges from 277 parishioners for a total of $653,300.  Have you prayerfully considered how you can help with this campaign? Information regarding the campaign and pledge cards can be obtained from the Parish Office. Eveyone's gifts will not be equal, but parish life and service depends on equal sacrifice. In a few years we will celebrate 175 years as a family of faith.  This is a huge opportunity.  It means we are relying on all those who have been part of our parish before us.  Our responsibility is to provide a continuation of ministry, outreach and prayer for the people who will come to Transfiguration in the future.
