It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Ron Gollatz passed away the morning of Tuesday, April 17, at Loyola University.
Visitation will take place at Transfiguration Parish on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 1:00 - 8:30 pm. A prayer service will begin at 8:30 pm. Visitation on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 am with mass beginning at 11:00 am. A luncheon will be held in the Parish Life Center following. Burial will follow the luncheon at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Transfiguration Parish or the Fund for Retired Priests is requested.
The parish offices will be open normal hours on Monday and closed on Tuesday.
Please keep Ron's family and close relations in your prayers.
Knights of Columbus Flower Sale
Warm weather is just around the corner, and your Transfiguration Knights of Columbus Council #4535 is selling flowers again this year to help you beautify your home.
We will be offering a nice variety of Annuals, Perennials, Vegetables and Herbs. The sale this year will be via order form only. There will not be sale days as in the past. Order forms can be downloaded here: KC Flower Order and on the Parish Facebook page. Forms will also be in the Gathering place at church. Order pick up days are Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. We will also deliver your order for a small $5.00 fee if you prefer. Questions contact Larry Wolff at firstname.lastname@example.org . Order forms will be due by Friday April 27. Proceeds go to help our council support the Parish community. Weekly Wednesday Holy Hour
First Wednesday of the Month - Healing Service and Anointing
Our Evangelization Commission invites you to attend our Wednesday Holy Hour at 7 PM in Church. Come and experience the peace of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Join the journey with guided prayer, music and silence. Come and be spiritually fed and uplifted. Confessions are also heard from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in English, Spanish and Polish.
First Friday Adoration - May 4
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will begin at 10:30 am and continues until 6:45 pm in the Church on the First Friday of the Month. At 6:45 pm in the main church, the Rosary will be prayed. Confessions in Polish or English will be heard at 6:45 pm. There is a sign up binder in the vestibule of church 1 week prior for those that can commit to 1 hour of time. We need to have someone with the Blessed Sacrament at all times. Please come and pray before the Lord, exposed in the Blessed Sacrament, for any amount of time.
