Youth Groups
This ministry was established in 2003.
Transfiguration’s youth group is a growing ministry that strives to offer all teens 8th grade through college opportunities to connect with other teens, hang out, have fun, gain peer support, help in the community, and continue their faith journey through discussions with others who share the same values.
We meet every Wednesday night from 6:30 till 8:30pm at the Youth House (111 S. Church St.)and participate at the11:00am Mass as a group the 2nd Sunday of every month. The first Wednesday of the month is Jr. High Friendly night where all 6th, 7th, & 8th graders are invited to join us for food, fellowship, and fun. Meet us in the Parish Life Center (school gym) and bring a friend. Teen Movie Night is scheduled once a month but you must be in 8th grade or higher to attend this event. Check the callendar or bulletin for details.
Adults participating in this ministry require Vicariate training and Virtus training through the Archdiocese and should be able to relate and communicate with the teens. The time commitment is one Wednesday night per month for 2 hours. We are also seeking help for shopping, organizing, and planning Youth Events.
