Eucharistic Ministers

.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.”
–John 6:54~56
Our purpose is we strive to reverently distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to our parish community at all parish Masses.
There are group meetings about once a year. The meetings are usually held in Church. Our group meetings are usually an evening of reflection to strengthen our commitment and deepen our knowledge.
An ideal candidate for this ministry should have a love of the Eucharist, have regular prayer and Mass attendance, and be reverent. You may start training to be a Eucharistic minister toward the end of 8th grade.
Training for this ministry involves going to a Vicariate training session, to provide the general background, and then a one time parish level training to review specific directions.
Time commitment for this ministry is a commitment to serve at Mass as scheduled, every 2-3 weeks, and to attend a yearly meeting.
