Dear brothers and sisters:
I want to give thanks to the Lord for this opportunity to come to serve and exercise priestly ministry in this Parish. During this time, I hope not only to grow as a person and a priest, but also harvest countless blessings. I would like to share something about myself. My name is Javier Alexander García. I was born on July 17, 1979 in Colombia. I studied Philosophy and Theology in the Seminary of my diocese in Colombia. I was ordained as a priest on December 1, 2005 in Colombia. I came to the United States four years ago to serve as a priest for a time. I was in “Mission San Juan Diego” parish in Arlington Heights for three years, in “San Odilo” parish in Berwyn for one year and, in “St. Stephen Protomartyr” parish in Des Plaines for eight months. Please pray for me and I will pray for you. May the Lord grant us to continue serving him for his greatest glory. May He help us to be saints in order to be instruments of redemption for the souls and thus establish his Kingdom of faith, justice and love.

Quiero dar gracias al Señor por esta oportunidad de venir a vivir y ejercer el ministerio sacerdotal en esta parroquia. Durante este tiempo, espero no solo crecer como persona y sacerdote, sino también cosechar innumerables bendiciones. Me gustaría compartir algo sobre mí. Mi nombre es Javier Alexander García. Nací el 17 de julio de 1979 en Colombia. Estudié Filosofía y Teología en el Seminario de mi diócesis “Santa Rosa de Osos-Colombia”. Fui ordenado sacerdote el 1 de diciembre de 2005 en Colombia. Hace cuatro años vine a los Estados Unidos para servir como sacerdote por un tiempo. Estuve en la parroquia “Mission San Juan Diego” en Arlington Heights durante tres años, en la
parroquia de “San Odilo” en Berwyn durante un año y, en la parroquia de San Esteban Protomartyr en Des Plaines durante 8 meses. Por favor oren por mí y yo oraré por ustedes. Que el Señor nos conceda continuar sirviéndole para su mayor gloria. Que él nos ayude a ser santos para ser instrumentos de redención para las almas y así establecer su Reino de fe, justicia y amor.
