SPIRITUAL LIFE

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS

Again Jesus began to teach by the lake.  The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge.  –Mark 4:1

What is RCIA?
RCIA prepares unbaptized adults for Baptism and for other sacraments of initiation, i.e. Confirmation and Eucharist, to be in full communion with the Catholic Church.
RCIA is also for adults who have already been baptized but have not completed their sacraments of initiation.
RCIA is for anyone who would like to learn more about their Catholic faith.

The journey begins in September and continues through May each Sunday after 10:00am Mass (11:00am to 12:30pm) in the Parish Offices. Anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith is welcome to contact the Transfiguration School of Religion at 847.526.6400.

“This ministry enlightens my life because I enjoy sharing the love of Jesus with others and watching people grow in faith is awesome!  The best moment was watching a young woman that I sponsored receive her Confirmation and Eucharist on Holy Saturday. We both wept with joy!”
