SPIRITUAL LIFE

SCHOOL OF RELIGION

Again Jesus began to teach by the lake.  The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge.  –Mark 4:1

Dear Families
with Confirmation students in the School of Religion 2020/2021 Program:

A kind reminder to ask your child to drop off the student activity booklets when he/she attends any of the weekend Masses.  Booklets are due on a weekly basis.
The student must locate a catechist at the right side of the Church vestibule as he/she enters.  The catechist will wear a name tag on their left shoulder. Please hand over the activity booklet to the catechist.
If a catechist cannot be located, please drop off the activity booklet in a box marked ‘CONFIRMATION’ in the Gathering Room which is located to the right side of the vestibule as you enter the Church.
Thank you in advance for your collaboration.  God bless.

The Transfiguration School of Religion exists to assist families in the faith formation of their children. The program provides opportunities to learn Catholic doctrine, to share faith, to worship through prayer and sacrament, to connect to our parish community, and to respond to the gospel message in witness and service.

We feel we have a great program which forms children from Kindergarten to Grade 8 by:
  • Teaching a strong curriculum of approved materials
  • Using dedicated volunteers with many talents
  • Providing regular opportunities for prayer both in the classroom and as a community
  • Encouraging service to others by many projects
  • Establishing connections to our parish family
