Registration
1. If this is your child’s second or more year of Religious Education, just bring the full registration fees, cash or check.
2. If your child is new to the program: bring your birth and baptismal certificates and full registration fees cash or check.
3. You may pick up a registration form at the kiosk at the back of the church, fill it out, include your check and drop it off in the black box located next to the parish office, building door 12.

School of Religion (Program in English)
- Wednesday: Grades 1st through 8th, from 6:15 to 7:30 pm. While children attend their class, we encourage parents to spend some time with Jesus at 7pm Holy Hour.
- English Program Upcoming Classes: Registration Underway!
- Family Catechesis: Once a month, during the regular class time, families will come together for a special session where parents and children learn side by side. These sessions are mandatory for both parents and children.
- School of Religion: Forms at the back of the Church, or visit the religion education office, or E-mail us.
Catecismo (Programa en Español)
- Primera Comunión Y Confirmación: Sabados de 4:00pm a 5:45pm. Los alumnos asistirán a misa dominical los sábados a las 6:00pm como parte del programa.
- Escuela de Religión Próximas clases: Registro en curso!
- Catequesis Familiar: Una vez al mes, durante el horario regular de clases, las familias se reunirán para una sesión especial donde padres e hijos aprenderán juntos. Estas sesiones serán obligatorias para padres e hijos.

We Need Volunteers!
It is our mission to educate the youth of Transfiguration Catholic Community in the ways of the Catholic faith and to bring them to the Sacraments. Even more importantly, to give them a foundation for a loving relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Our students, 1st – 8th graders, meet once a week on Wednesdays for 1-1/4 hours/week, from 6:15-7:30 PM.
We need:
Co-Catechists— to give weekly support to one of our seasoned catechists.
Substitute catechists—to complete a lesson when a need arises.
Office Aides—to help out in the School of Religion Office during class time.
Other volunteers—to help out with retreats and other special events.
Prayer—to pray daily for our students & their faith journeys.

When mapping out your family’s fall calendar and making decisions on scheduling your time between sports and other extracurricular activities, please keep the School of Religion prayer-fully in mind.
The world has become an increasingly complicated place to navigate. Anxiety and depression are growing exponentially among children. Our youth have the distracting pulls of social media, the internet and secular competitive activities, giving them more and more stress and difficult choices to make every day. It can be overwhelming for us, as adults, to face raising children in today’s world.
But there is HOPE and it comes in the form of faith in Jesus Christ! By sharing our Catholic faith with your children, you can equip them with the confidence of a moral compass that will benefit them well beyond their elementary, high school and college years. Faith is for life. We can help!
At Transfiguration School of Religion, we are committed to offering quality Catholic religious education. We are currently accepting registrations into classes that will begin in the fall.
We meet on Wednesdays for 1-1/4 hours a week, a small investment of your time with eternal benefits.

Classes Start September 3rd
Meet Mary Gebelhoff, School of Religion Director
Hello! I would like to introduce myself to those of you who don’t know me. My name is Mary Gebelhoff, and I am a parishioner of Transfiguration Catholic Community. For the past 34 years, I have been involved with different ministries at the parish, including as past Director of Religious Education. When Father Juan Pablo learned of his reassignment to a new parish, he invited me to step up and help him with running the English portion of the School of Religion, confident in a seamless transition for the future. I felt called and accepted this task.
You may have noticed fuller church pews in recent months. We are blessed to be experiencing a growth surge in the Catholic Church, and we are also ready and excited to grow the School of Religion, bringing more children to the love of Jesus and our faith!
If you have children, grandchildren, godchildren, nieces or nephews who need the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, Reconciliation, and/or Confirmation, please feel free to reach out to me.
We are currently accepting registrations into classes that will begin in the fall. I can also assist in directing adults towards our OCIA program (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults).
Additionally, I ask for your prayers for our programs, our children and candidates, and the catechists who serve them. If you are an active Catholic, who loves and lives their faith, I would appreciate an opportunity to speak with you about sharing your faith with our youth or adults.
